James Glen staff join the 'The Worlds Greatest Shave'

Kevin Falkner, State Manager, Queensland and Troy Unsworth, Stock Controller in Sydney, two brave staff members, joined in 'The Worlds Greatest Shave' for their favourite charity and worthy cause, the Leukaemia Foundation to help fund research into leukaemia, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.

This year's main event was held on the 10th to the 12th of March, where Troy and Kevin put their heads on the line for this vital research.

Kevin (right) raised $200 which will cover the cost of a family attending an education and support program about living with leukaemia. "It's a necessary part of the treatment process, not just for the poor suffer, but to help the whole family cope & understand this terrible disease" said Kevin.

Troy (left) raised another $100 which will help to provide a family with accommodation near the treatment centre. "This will help family members to be near the patient, reducing their need to travel & if they come from the country, that could be a long way to get to a major hospital were their treatment is being carried out" said Troy.

"All the staff here at James Glen are very proud of Kevin and Troy, for their efforts in supporting this vital research into leukaemia, better treatments and hopefully a cure in the near future & maybe, next year, more of James Glen's staff will follow Troy & Kevin's lead and take up the challenge for 'The Worlds Greatest Shave', said Rebecca Baxter, National Marketing Manager.

James Glen Pty Ltd would like to congratulate not only Kevin & Troy for their efforts, but to all those who participated in the event which has raised over $4 million to help this vital research and hopefully find a cure.
